You can offer a completed custom template to others as a shared base. Doing so does not give anyone access to edit your original.
What you will learn
- Prepare a design for other users.
- Enable sharing for your custom template.
- Understand what others can copy and what they cannot change.
What to check before sharing
A shared template should serve as a clear starting point, not a finished website containing your personal data. Review the preview on desktop, tablet, and mobile. Check position names, row order, text readability, and whether the design contains text you do not wish to pass along.
For third-party modules, keep in mind that another user might not have the required extension. If such a module is essential for the appearance, the template description should clearly indicate this. Sharing itself does not bundle any external extensions.
How to enable sharing
- In your account, find your completed template.
- Open its card actions and select Share.
- After confirming, check the card label. It indicates that sharing is enabled for the template.
- Open the gallery and verify that your design appears among the shared templates.
Others create their own copies
A gallery user does not alter your original. The application creates a new private copy with its own history for them based on the shared design. Their subsequent edits will not affect yours, and your changes will not transfer to their copy.
Current version limitations
The gallery only shows templates that are currently both shared and eligible for publication.
