The website type helps the AI decide how to organize the layout. The style defines its visual tone. Together, they create a foundation that you can fine-tune in the editor later.
What you will learn
- What selecting a website type affects.
- How to choose a style without design expertise.
- How to handle a project that doesn't fit into a single category.
- Why a clear choice is better than a mix of contradictions.

Website type is a practical guide
Select the option that best matches the main purpose of the future website. The AI uses it to choose a safe base, appropriate structure, and allowed module layout. This does not mean it is creating real products, articles, or navigation yet. It only prepares the template and a sample layout.
If the website serves multiple roles, decide based on the primary goal for first-time visitors. A corporate website with occasional news is still primarily a corporate presentation. A magazine with a small contact form is primarily a content-driven site. Secondary requirements can be mentioned in a single sentence within the prompt.
Style describes the impression, not the function
The style selection indicates whether the design should feel subtle, bold, traditional, or contemporary, for example. You don't need to know design terminology. Imagine a person opening the page for the first time: should they feel calm and trust, energy, luxury, or simplicity?
Style is not a permanent decision. After generating, you can change global colors, fonts, spacing, backgrounds, and the appearance of individual elements. However, the choice influences the initial result, so choose based on content rather than what is currently eye-catching.
Selection process
- Write down the main goal of the website in one sentence, such as "present services and receive inquiries."
- Select the closest available website type in the wizard. Don't look for a perfect name; look for the same main purpose.
- From the available styles, choose one that aligns with visitor expectations and the brand's character.
- Add only what the selections didn't convey to the additional prompt, such as "no decorative effects, focus on large photography."
- Before starting, check whether the type, style, and text prompt contradict each other.
Decision example without technical jargon
Imagine an accounting firm. The main goal is to introduce services and get inquiries, so you choose the closest corporate type. Visitors expect trust and quick orientation, so you use a calm, clean style. In the prompt, you add that contact call-to-actions should be prominent with ample space to explain services.
For a creative portfolio, the decision might be the opposite: a visually striking style with more space for work samples. In both cases, the type stems from the visitor's task and the style from the desired impression. This simple combination is much clearer to the AI than a list of trendy buzzwords without context.
When in doubt
Choose a simpler, more neutral variant. A readable foundation is easier to edit in the editor than a design composed of multiple conflicting styles.
