The preview helps you evaluate the layout before creating a copy. It is designed for reviewing the visual appearance.
What you will learn
- Distinguish between a small card preview and a full preview.
- Check the most important layout sections.
- Understand the limitations of a safe preview.
Two levels of quick inspection
Gallery card preview
A lightweight preview for quickly comparing multiple templates. It loads lazily as the card approaches the screen viewport.
Full preview
A comprehensive view of the entire template to inspect rows, module positions, and sample content before copying.
What to look for in the preview
- Header: Is there a suitable place for the logo, menu, and other key modules?
- Main content: Does the page provide enough space, and does the container width suit your needs?
- Sidebars: Do you need them, and if so, are they positioned on the correct side?
- Footer: Does it offer enough positions for contact details, links, or additional information?
- Visual style: Is the base design close enough to your goal, even if you change colors and fonts later?
Why links and forms do not respond like on a live site
The preview is intentionally non-interactive and isolated. It does not execute third-party plugins or real form submissions, and links will not navigate you away to external pages. For menus, some previews only simulate opening submenus so you can inspect their visual appearance.
The preview may not exactly match your future website once loaded with your articles, images, and installed extensions. It displays the template structure and safe sample content.
