What Happens During AI Generation

Generation is not a single uncontrolled leap. Template Architect prepares a new blank template and gradually applies limited, controlled steps to it.

What you will learn

  • Why AI always works with a new template.
  • How individual steps and progress checks take place.
  • What a safe intermediate preview means.
  • Why a result may be rejected or handed over for manual fine-tuning.
AI prompt
AI prompt in the form

First, a new safe foundation is created

After confirming the wizard, the application creates a fresh blank template with its own internal code. Thus, AI does not overwrite the draft you are already working on. The server compiles the prompt from your selected preferences, picks the configured provider and model, and creates a temporary generation session.

What happens step by step

  1. Preparation. The server verifies login, eligibility, selected options, and the permitted scope of the prompt.
  2. Partial generation. The pipeline always executes a limited step. Concurrent or repeated execution of the same part is prevented.
  3. Checkpoint and preview. After a successful step, the intermediate state is saved, and the interface can display a safe, non-interactive progress preview.
  4. Finalization. The finished configuration undergoes quality control again.

The result may require human review

Unsafe output or content burdened with third-party branding will be rejected by the quality gate. A weaker yet safe result may be saved for manual fine-tuning. Upon success, the new template opens in the regular editor as an initial history state.

The intermediate preview is not a published Joomla website and does not run live modules. It is a quick representation of the configuration that helps monitor the design direction.

What the user observes during the process

The interface advances through published steps and displays the current status.

If the preview doesn't look complete for a moment, it may be an intermediate stage. Wait for finalization and transition to the editor. Only the final configuration has passed the quality check as a whole.

Therefore, do not evaluate intermediate changes as standalone designs. Only the state marked as completed by the process makes sense. You can then check that state using standard editor tools.

What can stop the process

StatusWhat it meansWhat to do
Session expiredThe AI session is valid for a maximum of 30 minutes.Return to your account and start a new run.
Provider unavailableNetwork error.Wait and try again later; retry only once.
Rejected resultThe output failed security checks or the quality gate.Simplify the prompt or build the layout manually.

Safe procedure in case of an error

  1. Do not initiate multiple runs simultaneously. First, refresh your account and check if a new template was created.
  2. In case of rejection, shorten the prompt, remove conflicting instructions, and select a simpler structure.
  3. If the external service remains unavailable, continue with a blank template or your own copy of a shared template.

After recovery, look for the result first

An interrupted browser connection does not necessarily mean the server step failed. After returning to your account, check the template list and the status of the in-progress run first. If a new entry already exists, do not rerun the same brief just because of a display error.

In case of repeated technical errors, note the time and contact support. This will make it easier for support to distinguish an expired session from an output rejected by security checks.

Do not launch a second copy during generation

Do not open the same process repeatedly in multiple browser tabs. Although guardrails prevent concurrent execution of the same step, it is clearest to let one run finish and follow the status displayed in your account.
