Navigating the Shared Templates Gallery

The gallery is a catalog of designs that their authors have made available to others. You can first preview a selected design and then create your own copy from it.

What you will learn

  • Understand the cards in the gallery.
  • Quickly compare multiple designs.
  • Distinguish a preview from an actual live website.

What you will find on a template card

A card usually combines a title, basic details, and a small thumbnail image.

Use the card to get an initial impression of the colors and layout. For a detailed inspection, open a larger preview. Only then use the action to create your own copy.

Recommended selection process

  1. Select a category that is closest to your website's purpose.
  2. Compare several cards based on their overall structure, not just the thumbnail images.
  3. Open the preview of the best candidates and inspect the header, content area, sidebars, and footer.
  4. Choose the design that requires the fewest structural changes. Colors and fonts are easier to change than the entire grid layout.
  5. Create your own copy and continue in the editor.

The preview is a safe demonstration

It is a limited, static representation of the layout and content.
